The EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus is our compact pick for solar charging: it keeps the standard DELTA 3's 1,024Wh and 1,800W while adding a second solar input and faster USB-C. Choose DELTA 3 Max for 2,048Wh in one box, or Max Plus for that same capacity with 3,000W output and battery expansion. Choose the standard DELTA 3 when its single solar input and 100W USB-C are sufficient.

Quick picks: choose the station before the bundle

  • DELTA 3: our simpler choice if you charge mainly from the wall.
  • DELTA 3 Plus: our choice for a compact station with more solar and USB-C charging capability.
  • DELTA 3 Max: our choice when you need more stored energy without separate batteries.
  • DELTA 3 Max Plus: our choice for higher running loads and future battery expansion.

These are US models. The table covers these four stations; EcoFlow also lists DELTA 3 Classic and Ultra Plus, while the extra-battery manual names DELTA 3 1500. Those names need their own specifications. For other brands, use our 1kWh comparison; for other sizes, see portable power stations.

DELTA 3: choose standard when its charging ports are enough

Standard and Plus share the capacity, continuous output and approximately 27.6 lb weight shown above. Standard provides two 100W USB-C ports and 500W solar input; Plus provides two 140W USB-C ports and two 500W solar inputs. Both advertise a 56-minute full wall recharge at 1,500W.

Our recommendation: choose standard for its existing capability, rather than assuming Plus runs an appliance longer. USB-C maximum power also requires a device and cable supporting the corresponding protocol, as EcoFlow's manual explains.

EcoFlow

EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus Portable Power Station (1,024Wh)

A 1,024Wh LiFePO4 portable power station with 1,800W of AC output, 1,500W wall charging, two 500W solar inputs and expansion to about 5kWh with EcoFlow extra batteries.

Comes in 5 versions: see which to buy

  • 1024 Wh capacity
  • 1800W AC out
  • LiFePO4

Plus is the useful upgrade when you can use both solar inputs or its higher USB-C rating. Its 1,000W solar ceiling is split into 500W per input; a panel arrangement attached to one port cannot use the other port's allowance. The manual lists the same four expansion-battery families as standard: DELTA 3, DELTA 2, DELTA 2 Max and DELTA Pro 3.

Choose it for charging flexibility; move to a larger battery configuration when runtime is the problem.

DELTA 3 Max: our pick for fixed capacity in one box

Max doubles the smaller stations' nominal capacity to 2,048Wh and raises continuous output to 2,400W. It has four AC outlets, approximately 44.8 lb weight and 500W solar input. Its US manual lists no extra-battery port; EcoFlow's UK comparison explicitly marks Max battery expansion “NO.” Only that expansion distinction is cross-checked there; charging and output figures here use US sources.

Choose Max when that fixed capacity suits the job. Do not order an extra battery expecting to upgrade it later; choose an expandable model at the outset if that is part of your plan.

DELTA 3 Max Plus: our pick for higher loads and expansion

Max Plus still starts at 2,048Wh. Its benefits are 3,000W continuous AC output, 1,000W total solar input, two solar ports and extra-battery support. It weighs approximately 48.7 lb, according to its manual. Its US output remains 120V; for a different voltage requirement, start with our home battery backup guide.

One 2,048Wh Max Plus Smart Extra Battery gives 4,096Wh nominal combined capacity by addition. EcoFlow advertises expansion to about 10kWh, using two DELTA Pro 3 batteries and an expansion adapter. However, its station page says the adapter has been released while its footnotes still say it will be released soon. Confirm the exact adapter, battery cables and US availability before buying a two-battery configuration.

See DELTA 3 Max Plus at EcoFlow.

Extra batteries: match the full name

The DELTA 3 Series Smart Extra Battery, called DELTA 3 Smart Extra Battery in the manual, is the 1,024Wh accessory for doubling standard or Plus to 2,048Wh. Its manual lists an extra-battery cable in the box. EcoFlow's Plus store page separately specifies an Alternator Charger XT150 Output Cable for expansion; confirm the supplied cable against your exact station and battery.

The DELTA 3 Max Plus Smart Extra Battery is a different, 2,048Wh accessory. Its page says compatibility with standard and Plus requires a subsequent firmware release. Do not assume the shared DELTA name makes it ready to use with them. The Max Plus station manual also lists the smaller DELTA 3 battery and DELTA 2 Max battery; its store compatibility footnote omits DELTA 2 Max, so confirm that older-battery pairing before purchasing adapters.

See the DELTA 3 battery or Max Plus battery at EcoFlow. An extra battery increases stored energy; size running loads against the station's continuous inverter rating.

Solar inputs: check every limit and the cable

The standard, Plus, Max and Max Plus manuals specify these solar limits:

Model DC solar window Current wording Power ceiling
DELTA 3 11–60V 15A 500W
DELTA 3 Plus 11–60V per input 15A per input 500W per input; 1,000W total
DELTA 3 Max 11–60V 13A 500W
DELTA 3 Max Plus 11–60V 18A stated; port allocation unclear 1,000W total across two ports; per-port watts unconfirmed

All four manuals require total panel open-circuit voltage (Voc) within 60V and total short-circuit current (Isc) within the stated limit. Max Plus's US manual does not clearly allocate that current between its ports; ask EcoFlow before specifying an array. A matching XT60i connection alone does not establish compatibility.

The Plus's separate paths look like this: each input accepts 11–60V, 15A and up to 500W, with 1,000W combined. Each panel arrangement needs its own suitability check and Solar to XT60i cable.

Does the solar bundle include everything?

The four base-station manuals list the station, AC charging cable and documents. Standard and Plus explicitly call their Solar to XT60i cable sold separately; Max and Max Plus name the required solar cable but omit it from their base-box lists.

The dedicated NextGen 220W Bifacial panel page lists an XT60i charging cable, panel and protective bag. A bundle titled simply “220W Solar Panel” does not identify that exact version. The NextGen bifacial specifications list 21.5V Voc, 12.4A front Isc and 9.9A rear Isc separately. Those front-only figures cannot establish total bifacial current under your conditions; confirm the complete panel arrangement with EcoFlow, especially against Max's 13A limit.

  • Yes: Match the complete station name and US outlet version
  • Yes: Confirm the exact panel model and quantity
  • Yes: Confirm a suitable solar cable for each input you plan to use
  • Yes: Check panel Voc, total Isc and the station's power limit
  • Partly: Extra battery included: verify its full name and connection kit
  • No: A two-station pack is not one station with an expansion battery

EcoFlow offers both extra-battery bundles and packs labelled “2 x” stations. Count the complete stations, batteries, panels and cables separately before comparing listings.

Runtime and recharge: compare the same job

For a planning estimate, assume a steady 100W load and 80% usable nominal energy: 1,024Wh × 80% ÷ 100W ≈ eight hours; 2,048Wh × 80% ÷ 100W ≈ sixteen hours. At 1,000W, the same calculation gives roughly fifty minutes and one hundred minutes. The usable-energy percentage is our assumption, not an EcoFlow efficiency claim; actual losses, standby consumption and settings change the result. Check starting demand separately from running watts.

Do not turn those examples into a fridge promise. Use your appliance's average consumption; our refrigerator wattage guide explains the sizing task.

Model EcoFlow's wall-charging claim Starting and ending charge
DELTA 3 56 minutes at 1,500W 0–100%
DELTA 3 Plus 56 minutes at 1,500W 0–100%
DELTA 3 Max 68 minutes at 1,800W 0–80%
DELTA 3 Max Plus 64 minutes at 1,800W 0–80%

Sources: the four linked US station pages. These are manufacturer charging claims under their stated conditions. Max Plus's advertised 43 minutes refers to 0–80% using the Smart Generator 4000, not an ordinary wall recharge. Likewise, a 1,000W solar input limit does not mean a single 220W panel supplies it.

How we choose

We compared US manufacturer pages and model-specific manuals, fetched on November 2, 2026. Recommendations follow capacity, continuous output, expansion and charging needs; we have not physically evaluated these stations. The linked product cards reuse the site's verified station records; recommendations without a confirmed ASIN link to EcoFlow.

We retain conflicts that affect a purchase. Standard and Plus store tables specify 2,200W X-Boost, while their manuals' 120V rows specify 2,600W. Size loads to their agreed 1,800W continuous output. Max Plus adapter release wording and older-battery compatibility also disagree across official material, as explained above. Check the selected variant's stock and delivery date; the store pages include preorder wording.

Verdict

Choose DELTA 3 Plus for its additional solar input and higher USB-C rating; choose standard DELTA 3 when those features add no value. Choose Max for more capacity in one box, or Max Plus for its higher continuous output and expansion support. Then verify the exact panel, cable and battery contents of the bundle you will actually order.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between EcoFlow DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus?

Both have 1,024Wh capacity, 1,800W continuous AC output and extra-battery support. Plus raises solar input from 500W to 1,000W across two separate inputs, and USB-C from 100W to 140W per port. Choose Plus for those charging features; choose standard if they add nothing to your setup. Plus does not give you more stored energy or a larger continuous inverter.

Is DELTA 3 Max expandable?

The standard DELTA 3 Max has no extra-battery expansion. DELTA 3 Max Plus supports extra batteries and has higher continuous output, although both start with 2,048Wh. EcoFlow advertises up to 10kWh for Max Plus, but reaching the largest configurations requires an expansion adapter and the appropriate batteries. Confirm adapter availability and the exact battery and cable combination before ordering.

Which extra battery works with DELTA 3 Plus?

Its manual lists DELTA 3 Smart Extra Battery, DELTA 2 Smart Extra Battery, DELTA 2 Max Smart Extra Battery and DELTA Pro 3 Smart Extra Battery. The DELTA 3 battery adds 1,024Wh, giving 2,048Wh nominal total. EcoFlow's store also names an XT150 output cable, so confirm the required connection kit for your chosen battery. Max Plus extra-battery compatibility with the smaller stations is described as awaiting firmware on its accessory page.

Does a DELTA 3 solar generator include a panel and cable?

Read the selected bundle's contents. EcoFlow offers standalone stations, solar kits, battery bundles and packs of separate stations. The four station manuals list the station, an AC charging cable and documents in the base box. The dedicated NextGen 220W Bifacial panel page lists an XT60i charging cable with that panel. A generic 220W bundle title does not establish which panel generation or how many solar cables you receive.
