On this page · Quick picks: start with the plug
Buy the Anker SOLIX C300 AC if any essential device needs a household plug; choose C300 DC for a compatible USB-C laptop, USB lights and car-socket devices when easier carrying matters. C300X AC is an alternative with a supplied strap, while C300X DC needs an exact bundle check: the current US solar order and refurbished charger order contain different equipment.
Quick picks: start with the plug
- Mixed equipment or an uncertain gift recipient: C300 AC. Its box includes the wall-charging cable.
- USB/DC equipment and an existing suitable charger: C300 DC, if available. It is lighter than the AC models.
- C300X AC: choose it for the supplied strap or a better complete order, rather than an assumed capacity upgrade.
- A DC order available directly from Anker: inspect the C300X DC solar kit below; add a wall charger if home recharging matters.
Availability checked November 3, 2026: Anker's US pages offered C300 and the C300X DC solar kit for ordering; C300X AC and standalone C300 DC said sold out. Stock can change. These are conditional choices, not a reason to substitute an incompatible model.

- 300WContinuous AC limit on C300 and C300X AC
- 140WMaximum USB-C input on either AC model
- 280WCombined dual-USB-C input on the DC models
Best default: Anker SOLIX C300 AC, A1722
Choose C300 when a device needs its ordinary wall plug. Its 300W continuous rating is the sizing limit; Anker's 600W SurgePad mode excludes devices with strict voltage requirements and does not operate in bypass mode. Do not treat it as a universal appliance-starting guarantee.
The AC version still supplies direct USB-C power. You can leave AC off while using USB devices, so buying the DC model is principally a decision about ports, carrying and recharge equipment; it does not establish an automatic runtime advantage.
Check the US C300 order and availability at Anker.
AC alternative: Anker SOLIX C300X, A1723
The Anker SOLIX C300X portable power station has the same capacity, continuous AC output and station weight as C300 in their US manuals. Its included strap is the useful documented distinction. Buy an exact US unit when available; an overseas AC edition's electrical specifications should not be substituted.
For an AC alternative outside this family, our C300X versus Elite 30 V2 comparison covers that separate purchase decision.
Check the US C300X order at Anker.
Best for USB-only travel: Anker SOLIX C300 DC, A1726
This is the stronger fit when every device accepts its USB or car-socket outputs. Its 6.17 lb station weight compares with 9.1 lb for either AC version, and it adds a 100W USB-C output alongside the two high-power bidirectional ports. You give up household sockets and built-in mains charging.
Anker's FAQ recommends a 30W-or-higher USB-C PD charger. The activation banner instead mentions 18W or higher, while the activation FAQ specifies a charger supporting 9V or higher. These are different instructions; choose a PD charger meeting the higher recommendation and the required voltage profile, rather than using the activation minimum as a recharge-speed specification.

DC bundle option: Anker SOLIX C300X DC, A1728
The current new US order is B1728011 with a 60W solar panel. Its page does not provide a complete packing list: confirm the panel lead, USB-C cable and strap before treating it as a complete gift. No wall adapter is promised in that kit description.
A separate A1728011-F0 refurbished package advertises a 100W charger. Its included supply is useful, but cannot deliver the station's dual-input maximum. Check condition and the applicable refurbished warranty; do not transfer the new-station warranty to it.
The X DC package specifications confirm the headline ports, but we have not verified its complete allocation matrix. The detailed sharing examples below belong specifically to C300 DC.
Check the new C300X DC solar kit or inspect the separate refurbished charger package.
USB-C profiles and sharing: the label is only a ceiling
The AC manuals give C2 input profiles of 9V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/5A and 28V/5A. C2/C3 outputs also support 5V/3A. C300 DC adds 5V/3A input on both bidirectional ports; its C1 output stops at 20V/5A. Reaching 140W needs a compatible 28V/5A device and cable, not simply a USB-C socket.
C300 DC's manual provides these allocations:
C2 + C3
- Published output allocation
- 140W + 140W
C2 + C3 + low-power bank
- Published output allocation
- 140W + 140W + 20W
C1 + C2 + C3
- Published output allocation
- 30W + 100W + 140W
C1 + C2 + C3 + low-power bank
- Published output allocation
- 30W + 100W + 140W + 20W

| C1 + C2 + C3 + low-power bank | 30W + 100W + 140W + 20W |
The low-power bank means both USB-A ports and C4 share 20W; C4 alone is 15W, and an individual USB-A port is 12W. On the AC models, C1 and USB-A share 20W instead. Moving a cable between similarly named ports changes the result.
Anker's DC manual also contains a conflict: its C1 + C2/C3 + car-output row lists 100W + 100W + 120W, exceeding the same manual's 300W total. Keep the total ceiling and obtain Anker's clarification before planning that combination.
Best recharge add-on: Anker 140W four-port charger with cable
The A2697 adapter / B26971Z1 US bundle supplies 140W PD 3.1 and a 5 ft, 240W USB-C cable, according to Anker's product data. Use either high-power USB-C port alone for its 28V/5A maximum. This is a specification match to C300 charging requirements, rather than a model-specific certification claim.
Two sockets on this adapter do not supply two independent maximum-rate paths: Anker specifies 70W + 70W when C1 and C2 are both used. For C300 DC's 280W input, use two separately powered adapters capable of 140W each, with suitable cables; two of these bundles provide that equipment. One bundle is the simpler choice when maximum recharge speed is unnecessary.
Dual USB-C recharging occupies C2 and C3. C1 is rated as a 100W output on C300 DC; confirm simultaneous charging and output behavior if you need to work during a refill.

For the AC models and C300 DC, solar input is 100W maximum, 11–28V and 8.2A, with an XT60 connection. Their standalone solar and car leads are separate purchases. The AC manuals prohibit simultaneous USB-C and XT60 recharging; DC dual-USB permission does not prove solar-plus-USB stacking. For a panel purchase, use our solar-panel matching guide and obtain the selected X DC kit's input limits from Anker.
A laptop-and-light budget, with losses separated
For an illustrative 60W laptop plus a 10W light, start with the manuals' 288Wh battery figure. Assume 90% direct USB/DC conversion efficiency, or 80% through AC and the devices' adapters plus 5W of battery-side inverter idle draw. These are worksheet assumptions, not measured Anker efficiencies; the calculation uses full nominal capacity without a reserve.

Either AC station can use the direct USB path too. Real runtime changes with laptop activity, conversion losses, reserve and battery condition; these assumptions cannot establish a winner between models. Check your laptop's requirements in our laptop power-station guide.
For tiny lights, auto-off also matters: the C300 DC manual specifies low-current USB shutoff after two hours, which its device-timeout setting does not change. Confirm the light's suitability before relying on overnight output.
Holiday checkout: make the whole order usable
Match the unit
Check the model label, US SKU and new or refurbished condition.
Complete the recharge path
AC models include their mains cable. A standalone DC order needs a suitable USB-C wall adapter unless the recipient already owns one.
Complete the device path
Confirm the laptop accepts USB-C power and supply the required cable. Verify solar-kit leads and strap separately.
Keep the paperwork
Confirm the seller's return deadline and warranty coverage for the recipient; retain proof of purchase.
The US policy requires proof of purchase from Anker or an authorized reseller, excludes unauthorized sellers, and limits its warranty to the original purchaser. Confirm gift coverage rather than assuming the warranty transfers. Returns bought elsewhere follow that seller's process.
How we choose
We compared official US product pages, order data, model-specific manuals and warranty terms. We have not physically evaluated these products. Recommendations follow connection needs, complete recharge equipment and documented limits; missing X DC kit details and conflicting maker instructions remain visible. Runtime arithmetic is an illustration, and commissions do not determine the picks (disclosure).
Verdict
Choose C300 AC for the most straightforward mixed-device order, or C300X AC when its strap and availability make that exact package preferable. Choose C300 DC for USB/DC travel when available, adding a suitable charger if needed. The C300X DC solar kit is another US DC purchase route; confirm its packing list and add mains recharging before gifting.
Frequently asked questions
Is Anker SOLIX C300X better than C300?
Their dedicated US manuals give both 288Wh capacity, 300W continuous AC output and two 140W USB-C outputs. C300X's manual includes a strap; C300 sells its strap separately. Choose between the exact US orders by availability, contents and your checkout total. The X alone does not indicate more battery capacity or higher continuous AC output.
Can C300 DC or C300X DC power a regular wall plug?
These are DC-only models with USB and a car socket; they have no household AC outlet. Choose C300 or C300X AC when equipment requires its mains adapter. If your laptop supports USB-C charging, first check its required charging profile and cable: a USB-C connector alone does not establish that the laptop accepts power there.
Does Anker SOLIX C300 DC include a wall charger?
The standalone A1726 manual lists a 140W USB-C cable, but no wall adapter. Anker's product FAQ recommends a USB-C PD charger of at least 30W. The separately identified C300X DC refurbished package advertises a supplied 100W charger; that does not establish the contents of a new DC station or the US solar-panel bundle.
Can one Anker 140W four-port charger deliver 280W to C300 DC?
No. The A2697 charger supplies up to 140W through either high-power USB-C port used alone, but its published two-port allocation is 70W plus 70W. C300 DC's 280W recharge ceiling requires two simultaneous 140W supplies and suitable cables. Two separate charger-and-cable bundles are one documented way to supply those paths.
Can C300 charge from solar and USB-C together?
The C300 and C300X AC manuals explicitly prohibit simultaneous USB-C and XT60 recharging. C300 DC separately permits simultaneous charging through its two high-power USB-C inputs. That permission does not establish solar-plus-USB input stacking, so do not add the solar wattage to the dual-USB figure when planning a recharge stop.
