Watch out

  • NACS-to-J1772 is for a J1772 car at Tesla AC equipment; J1772-to-NACS runs the other way.
  • The 80A UL 2252, 48A UL 2251 and legacy 40A adapters are different versions.
  • The AC adapter cannot use Tesla Superchargers. A Vortex Plus bundle adds a separate DC adapter, subject to vehicle and automaker compatibility.
  • Missing UL wording in a listing title does not prove a separate uncertified model.

Why people pick it

  • Rated up to 80A at 240V; actual speed depends on the vehicle and station output (Lectron)
  • Certified to UL 2252, tested by SGS
  • Small enough for a glovebox

Know before you buy

  • AC only: does not work at Tesla Superchargers
  • Lectron's page gives two different water ratings (IP67 and IP54)
